Many microlots from the Tanzania Coffee Auction were cupped and selected to create the Peaberry Songea - Kusini. All of these coffees came from the south, the region were we've found very interesting cups throughout the years.
The coffee comes from 11 different cooperatives and primary societies as follows:

This coffee is grown on the southern plateau, between 1400 to 2000m, with the warmer temperatures, and less acid soils, this coffee has sharp acidity with a pleasant, sweet complex flavour profile. The coffee is bought as processed parchment. The auction takes place every Thursday (during the season) in the Kahawa House (coffee house) in Moshi, in the Northern part of the country at the footsteps of Mt Kilimanjaro -1200 km away by tarmac roads. All this coffee is primarily grown by smallholders.
